Not Hispanic, Not Latino-- but Mexica!

La Raza Cosmica is a conqueror's myth. A Hispanic is a descendent of Spain.  A Latino is a descendant of LatinAmerican Europeans.  If you are not Caucasion, you are full or mixed Indigenous Mexica.  Hispanic/Latino are media manipulations to seperate you from your heritage.  The drive to deny Mexica heritage is a racism that hangs on in many U.S. mixed-blood Mexican families.  To be Indio/Mexica- is to be inferior.  Yet your Original Peoples built pyramids, performed great feats of engineering, gave the world chocolate, chilli, tomatoes, vanilla, developed the mathematical concept of zero and the decimal point, inventing the most accurate calendar in the world. Their cities were, at one time, the largest cities in the world.
Your People resisted for decades, until the Church fabricated the legend of the Brown Virgin of Guadalupe to win the People over to Catholicism, a final blow for colonialism.  Now most American Chicanos accept their Spanish-Indian duality as a unique mestizaje which defines their identity. This is a phenomenon of successful colonization.  .
The proud identity of the Hispanic Community; language, religion,  marriage/death rites, Coming of Age Ceremonies,  music, dance, styles of dress and entertainment is predominantly Spanish European.  Pureblood European descendents control the Mexican media, history, and education.  They would  have all Mexican people believe they are Hispanic\Latino.  They have tried to erase the proud names: Tarasco, Maya, Otomi, Tarahumara, Olmeca .... because racial inequality and discrimination against brown-skinned Indigenous Mexica still flourishes.  Indigenous Heritage is the single factor which separates Mexican people of color from Europeans- above or below the border. The conflict in Chiapas is, in reality, an Indian War.
Mexica leaders want to re-educate Americans of Mexican Indian heritage.  You are not Hispanic, not Latino, and definately not Vendido/a (a person who imagines themselves to be different from european colonials but who has fully assimilated into their culture).

If you have brown skin- or mixed blood--  you are Mexica, your language- Nahuatl. Your relatives need your support.
